Faction: Khanid/Caldari
Mission type: Encounter
Space type: Deadspace
Damage dealt: EM/Therm from the Khanid Mashtori, Kin/Therm from Caldari
Extras: ECM (Taibu State Tendai)
Web/scramble: Spider drones, some caldari frigs may scram
Recommended damage dealing: therm for khanid, kin for caldari
Recommended ships: Battleship

"Imperial Navy Gate Permit" is required or you can't activate the gate. You obtain it as soon as complete Part 3 of this chain.

Pocket 1

Empty

Pocket 2

Empty
The two Amarr Cathedral structures don't drop any items. Cool explosion though.

Pocket 3

2x Spider Drone I
1x Battleship (Khanid Mashtori) Use thermal ammo. He orbits at 12.5km.
The Khanid Mashtori does Massive EM damage with Paradise Cruise doing 1575hp EM damage every 10 seconds.

Pocket 4

Left Group (Kill this 1st)

3x Battleships (State Oshiro/Zen (Scorpion/Juggernauts))
2x Cruisers (Taibu State Sohei/Tendai (Blackbird/Flameburst missiles/A lot of ECM))
3x Frigates (Taibu State Daito/Yari (Kestrel/Thorn Rockets/Webs))

Right Group (Kill this 2nd)

3x Cruisers (Taibu State Samurai (Moa/Scourge missiles))
3x Battlecruisers (State Oni/Kanpaku (Ferox/Scourge missiles))

Middle Group (Kill this 3rd)

3x Frigates (Taibu State Nagasa/Shinai (Crow (?)/Thorn Rocket/Web/Scramble))
4x Cruisers (State Shukuro Chugen/State Shikuro Ashigaru (Blackbird/Scourge))
3x Battleships (Caldari Navy Temuras (Raven/Juggernauts)) - Orbit at 50km

4x Caldari Cruise Missile Battery

Destroy the manufacturing plant! (Mission Completion when destroyed)

Hints

Attacking the missile batteries will aggro the whole pocket.
Don't forget to destroy the manufacturing plant!
It's doable with low (40%) EM resist as long as you have a good buffer, the first battleship dies relatively fast.

Using a dual repper Domi with Bouncer Is, and then switching to Ogre Is, I could not break the Temuras' tanks. But they could not break mine either. I kill everything else, let the Ogres occupy one Temura whilst I destroyed the manufacturing plant. The Temuras do not need to be killed in order complete the mission.

Using a dual repper Domi found that T2 Wardens will break the Temuras' tanks.
-- HonAtsugi (2008-06-14 06:14:31)
Completed with Nighthawk. Tank isn't an issue at all, but the Temuras take a little while to go down. ~160 missiles each, T2 launchers w/ Scourge + Hobgoblin II's. Be aware that many of the enemies in the last pocket, including the Temuras, like to hang back at 45 - 55km, so bring a drone link if you've got a spare high.
-- OdiTogre (2008-06-22 23:01:22)
I tried this in a Domi with 3 x 250mm Prototype Gauss and 3 x 250mm Compressed Coil, plus Magnetic Vortex stabiliser (giving extra 20% firepower), using Federation Navy Antimatter M ammo (extra 15% over std Antimatter). With Ogre 1s, I was just holding the Temura shield tank, at around 30-35%. Switching to Wasp 1s (Kinetic damage) took them out in a few mins each.
-- KimbeauSurveryor (2008-07-09 10:53:12)
When attacking the Left group, the Tendai's will nail you with ECM. If, like me, you can't keep anything targeted then target them and send your drones as soon as you have one targeted. Rinse and repeat for the other one.
Once they're gone, you'll have a far easier time taking out the rest...
-- StinggRay (2008-07-16 13:12:07)
Did it in a Typhoon, 1x LAR, 2x kin hard II, 1x therm hard II, EANM II, plate

Using Wasps I, it is a piece of cake, only the jamming of the left group is a bit disturbing.
-- DaFlox (2008-07-19 10:12:39)
I managed to down two of the three Temuras with a set of ogre I's, but the last one is flat out impossible with them. strange little finding.
-- RetmasTasrem (2008-07-21 15:59:00)
Do *not* forget to bring the 'Imperial Navy Gate Permit' with you!
-- RamZahn (2008-07-23 15:52:11)
Attacking one of the missile batteries aggro'd the whole room for me so be aware.

Key to this mission is the Wasps as stated, just load up for kinetic there's only the one Khanid BS anyway and it's the only BS in that pocket.

I fit my Phoon with 2xLAR, 2xKin Hard, 1xTherm Hard, 1xEANM and tanking was not a problem.
-- PorlenzColhart (2008-09-20 23:03:27)
I parked 70km from the Manufacturing Plant, used Warden II's and the NPC's never targeted me... drones took aggro but once scooped the NPC's just went back to orbiting the structures.
-- TipzNexAstrum (2008-10-23 00:42:40)
Completed in Ishtar. Avoided all the damage using the drone agro as my advantage. Took some time to level the Temuras with Ogre II's
Perfect mission for sentry drones.
-- KashiMir (2008-11-19 21:28:46)
Did it in an Astarte w/ a-type mar and rails and temuras went down pretty fast. The structure has a hughe amount of hp, bring a bunch of ammo!
-- SchaWo (2008-12-06 17:46:49)
Khanid Mashtori really does pack a punch. I recommend doubling up on your EM resists if you can. both Khanid and the Caldari ships do a lot of EM dmg.

10:21:27 Combat Khanid Mashtori aims well at you, inflicting 159.4 damage.
10:21:41 Combat Paradise Cruise Missile belonging to Caldari State hits you, doing 531.6 damage.

The turrent dmg happens about every 2.6 seconds while the paradise missile dmg happens every 15+ seconds. The 531.6 missile dmg is with 66.25% EM resist.

Loot is lame, but good tags. Salvage is decent.

I used duel rep domi with 3x 350mm with lead and 2x 250mm with lead3xkin hard, 2x therm had no prob tanking it all.
used Warden 1's for the station and the temuras, easy no prob
-- ForTorn (2009-02-16 12:32:23)
use at least one EM-specific hardener.

completed using a shield tanked myrm (can't fly a domi yet), no problems taking down the three temuras (~5mins each)

6x 425mm autocannons with titanium sabot m (skill of med proj turret: 1)
all kinetic drones (myrm only fits 3 heavy, but that works fine)
-- ShenRyyr (2009-02-27 14:27:31)
The Caldari frigates in the last room used ECM on me, I had to fit ECCM.
I killed the Temuras with a Hyperion, Caldari Navy Antimatter and four Wasp 1 Heavy drones.
-- Liberator1 (2009-04-23 15:25:55)
The plant takes some HEAVY pounding (1400+ heavy missiles), generally this mission is not worth to do in a battlecruiser because it simply takes too long.
-- MartinN (2009-05-11 12:40:14)
Just did this in my PassivePhoon. Had to warp out once because the Middle Group in pocket 3 broke my shield tank. Repaired my armor, then warped back in and easily handled the BSes. Other that, I had no problems. Used Hobgoblin IIs and Wasp Is.
-- JoshuNine (2009-05-12 01:30:44)
Did it in a passive shield Drake (Battlecruiser Skill 5) with 2 Invulnerability Field II, 7 Heavy II Launchers, Scource Fury Heavy Missiles and Hobgoblin IIs. Tanks of the Battleships were no problem. Frigs and Cruisers are drone food. Only the manufacturing plant took me a little longer; about 400 Missiles I guess.
-- RjikeR (2009-06-07 14:11:16)
The only thing to watch out for is the Tendais and the Temuras. The former will target jam you, the latter have a substantial tank. The most obnoxious part about this mission is the manufacturing plant... it took about 700 standard cruise missiles to down. I think i'll be declining this one in the future.
-- CorpseOfZanobyl (2009-09-17 00:08:41)
I got jamming from the Soheis. There were no Tendais in my mission.

The tank on the Temuras is impressive, but it's all shield. it took 25 rounds to break through their shields, and then one, two, three, FOUR shots to drop their armor.

For the Manufacturing Plant, I recommend leaving it for the very last and then returning to the station to switch out your armor tank from damage increasing modules.
-- CrucO (2010-02-05 18:05:10)
I had 100 Caldari Navy Paradise Cruise Missile's from a Caldari Navy Temuras
