When I ran it the initial gate to deadspace was 10km out from my warp in, the next gate was 39km and the one to the third pocket was 7.5km out.

Forcefield is 90km away, not 70km. A decently tanked Command Ship should be able to handle it, especially given the amount of cruisers. Just dust 'em and don't forget a salvager.

Otherwise bring a BS. An Amarr one would do great considering the weaknesses of EM and Thermal damage on Amarr NPCs.

First two rooms are from Part 1, so therefore clear of mobs (and roids if you mined it??)
Force field was ~80km from me both times I have had this mission so far
Officers quarters dropped dairy products & super conductors. Only destroyed this once, so would need conf. of dropping any loot at all...

The Officer's Quarter dropped Transmiter & Frozen Food (10 units each) for me. The rest of the structures have no loot. Other than this, the mission is a breeze for a standard fit Megathron. Watch for 2 frigates using Webifiers.

I just got lucky on this one. In addition to offering me a willpower +3 as an item reward, I also had a +3 INT drop from one of the ships. I salvaged about 7 melted caps too.

Combat drones will not attack the force field (can't speak for sentries). So Domi pilots relying on combat drones for DPS will have problems. I only use guns as a secondary form of damage dealing, and was unable to break the force field with my 280 turret dps. :/

I brought this up with the GMs in petition, and they confirmed that it is an issue they cannot do anything about.

Sentry drones do target and destroy the EM forcefield. I didn't have much problem bringing down the forcefield using 5 sentries, 5 250 prototype Gauss guns and antimatter ammo.

domi/ishtar pilots: Attack buildings (drones can enter forcefield), then attack EM forcefield

Just did this mission today, June 27, 2010 in my Maelstrom. You do get aggro from all NPCs in the pocket but I just wanted to add that they are about 55 Km away so you have time to start moving away. Recommend you start targeting frigs as soon as you warp in. Then let the drones handle them while you take out the damage dealing cruisers and battleships. Worked great for me. Very easy.

Contrary to Kaito, I was in a Dominix and my Ogres fired on the force field with no issues.

Also, confirming for ItPaladin: One of the ships dropped a +3 impant for me as well, so I would recommend checking the wrecks for that, at least.
